Optomap

Optomap Digital Widefield Imaging:

Optomap digital widefield imaging is a cutting-edge technology which captures 200 Degrees ultra-widefield, high-resolution images of the retina, allowing for a more comprehensive examination compared to traditional methods. By utilising the Optomap, our Optometrists can detect, diagnose, and monitor various eye conditions with greater accuracy.

Key Features and Benefits

  1. Ultra-Widefield Imaging:
200-Degree View: Captures up to 80% of the retina in a single image, compared to only 15% with conventional imaging. This provides us with a detailed view of the retinal periphery, helping to identify peripheral retinal issues that might be missed with standard imaging techniques.

  2. Non-Invasive and Comfortable:
Quick and Easy: The imaging process is fast, taking only a few seconds and is comfortable for patients of all ages.
    No Dilation Needed

  3.  High-Resolution Imaging:
Superior Clarity: Delivers high-resolution images that allow for the detailed examination of the retina, aiding in the early detection of diseases.
Multi-Modal Imaging: Offers colour, red-free, and autofluorescence imaging modes, providing comprehensive information about the retina’s health.

  4.  Enhanced Diagnostic Capabilities:
    Early Detection and Disease Monitoring:
Helps in the early detection of conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and glaucoma.

Topcon Maestro OCT: Advanced Optical Coherence Tomography

The Topcon Maestro optical coherence tomography (OCT) device is designed to deliver high-resolution imaging and comprehensive diagnostic capabilities. It provides detailed insights into the structure of the retina and other eye tissues and can help detect eye conditions several years earlier.

The Maestro OCT is a versatile tool for any patient and ideal for diagnosing and monitoring various ocular conditions, including:

- Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

- Diabetic Retinopathy

- Glaucoma

- Retinal Detachments

- Macular Oedema

- Other Retinal Disorders

Key Features and Benefits

  1.  High-Resolution Imaging:
The Maestro OCT captures detailed cross-sectional images of the retina, allowing for precise identification of various eye conditions, including macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.

  2. Fully Automated Operation:
The Maestro OCT automatically aligns, focuses, and captures high-quality scans while minimising patient discomfort.

  3. Comprehensive Analysis:
The device offers a range of analytical tools including retinal thickness maps, 3D imaging, comparison of patients’ data with the average for their age. These features enable our Optometrists to conduct thorough examinations and track disease progression over time.

Essilor Partner

*All of our Essilor lenses come with a 60 day guarantee period for non-tol*.

Evington Eyecare is proud to partner with Essilor, a world leader in ophthalmic optics. This collaboration underpins our commitment to providing top-tier eye care solutions and advanced optical products to our patients.

Essilor is renowned for its innovation in eyecare, consistently pushing the boundaries of lens technology. Being the pioneers in Varifocal technology, this partnership enables us to offer a wide range of Essilor's cutting-edge products, including:

- AVA (Advanced Visual Accuracy) digitally precise prescription lenses mean our optometrists no longer have to use the old glasses and individual lenses. Using our latest testing machine we can create a prescription up to 25x more accurate than standard high street opticians (0.01 increments compared to the 0.25 standard). Studies have shown that 95% pxs are more sensitive than 0.25 dioptric power. For example instead of instead of prescribing -4.50DS, we can prescribe -4.39D or -4.63D without the need to round up or down.

- Visioffice X facial scanner provides greater accuracy than traditional methods when dispensing glasses as it measures ocular dominance, how you read, how you hold the text, eye rotation centre and analyses your natural head posture in order for us to create a truly personalised pair of spectacle lenses.

- Varilux XR Pro Progressive Lenses: Bespoke, personalised varifocal lenses designed for seamless vision at all distances, ideal for presbyopic patients.

- Crizal Sapphire Anti-Reflective Coatings: Offering superior glare reduction, scratch resistance, and protection against UV rays.

- Eyezen Lenses: Specifically crafted for the digital age with blue-light filtering techonology, these lenses help reduce eye strain from prolonged device or screen use.

- Transitions GEN S Light Intelligent Lenses: Adaptive lenses that adjust to changing light conditions, providing optimal comfort and protection
